What you do get , is more of the incredible graphic style, but smoother. the 'same' but different vehicles, the Seatruck with modules is literally a base you can drive around with it's modules, OR a small enough speedster to get around faster.

The story while not being stellar, is heartfelt enough to want to find out what happened to her sister while not overshadowing the narrative. I did enjoy the characters and their dialogue, and no they are not, she is not annoying.

Overall its a great game, if you get on special its great value, specially if you enjoyed the first one

Although the game has outdated graphics, the story and game mechanics / elements more than make up for it.

Well, after 300 hours of play I feel I can give a decent review. Game is NOT perfect, and there are MANY aspects that can and could be better. However that being said, main story is kind of weak, but major side quests lines more than make up for it. Repeat game has been handled in an interesting way, we just need to get rid of the little fly me around catch a star thing. Base building almost feels like an afterthought, as in.. do you 'really' need to build one.. no, not really but system is kind of cool. Ship builder is pretty damn good, I wont say perfect, there ar some things that could be better, but the sheer number of combinations are astounding.

overall, I'd give it a Solid 7/10, it would not need much to up that to a 9/10.

I could easily mark myself as an experienced player, being 46 and considering i started gameing at 13, i've a few games under my belt. I rarely write revies, (this is the second on steam in a few years of being a member), but I felt strongly enough about Subnautica that it warrants taking a few minutes off deep sea diving to write a review.

For a game in early access, it runs smoother, looks better, is TOTALLY immersive, has a polish to the graphics style, and has creative and new ideas about crafting, surviving and exploring, the absolute most beautifull water planet one coudl ever hope to crash land on.

Do I reccomend it ? yes, indeed, in fact, at the price its selling, its a steal, i payed 130$ for the division+ and loved the game, the story etc.. and many other games as well, but this isnt an investment, its total bliss, and you will agree with me, at your first dive in the ocean at night when the whole world turns into a fanfare of life and beauty.

so yes, buy this game, enjoy it, its a fresh take on a rather fresh concept of a game.

press the Buy now, and let me know if you agree or not :)

Now I have not been much into 3rd person shooters, I'm an old gamer, so I've seen many attempts to make 3rd person right, I can say Ubi has got this one down pat.. love the game, not a lot of replay value, but the premise is great, bring on Los Angeles :)
