This game is overwhelmingly challenging in a way I didn't expect for a rhythm game.... nothing stays in rhythm. I find myself missing marks a lot because of it. I used to be a musician and know how to keep time, so this kind of killed the game for me. I keep playing it hoping it to be better but I just keep getting met with disappointment.

Visuals are okay, but I'm totally willing to give it a pass since it's an older game. But the colors are very distracting and make it tough to see markers. Kind of an eyesore, but if you like lots of flashing lights and colors then this'll be your jam.

For me, this game is 30% fun and 70% frustration, just ugh. :(

Three years ago I tried this game out and was frustrated by the some of the aspects of gameplay, the lack of things to do, and just how overall empty the whole experience felt. It was difficult to want to play for more than maybe 3 hours.

This week it really took me by surprise - I know things had changed, I couldn't tell you what specifically, but whatever changes have been made in the past several years have changed my experience. It feels way more balanced and polished, and I can totally see myself coming back to play for another round later.

One thing I must also say is I didn't really expect there to be a story with a whole theme. It was nice, really simple, but added just enough to keep me wanting to explore new places of this world.

All in all, whereas I would have told my friends to avoid this game before, I'd give it a solid recommendation now. I had a ton of fun!
