Reiza is killing the game multiplayer little by little to promote AMS2... So i dont recommend it, neither AMS 2.

Another bugged version of Automobilista. So AMS 1 never left its beta status, with ways of cheating and everything, and now the expensive AMS 2 comes full of bugs and with its closed structure that kills the modding community. The same one where the creator of Reiza started. Anyway, physics of Project CARS 2, hard to understand the menus, but a nice game. Although for now I don't recommend it. Maybe in the future when it works.

Since netKar, this has proved to be one of the best sims available. When the first demo of Assetto Corsa came out, I confirmed that. I've played this for more than 100 hours, but it could be for more than 500 if I had the time available and if I hadn't been so many years out of sim racing (almost 3 years). I regret not having played it more. Well, the physics simulation is great, mainly for touring cars where we can kinda compare to road cars. By the way, in road cars you can pretty much practice for a circuit on this, because it's gonna give you very similar feelings and responses. Even the weird spins that cars unfortunately have sometimes, this simulates them. Which is interesting because we can check what not to do in a real car.

I think the immersion is fantastic in Assetto Corsa. You get the bumps, the vibration, the grip on your force feedback, and I had the chance to play it in the G27, G29 and the T300. It's great in all of them, although with the Thrustmaster you can feel the force feedback in an even more realistic way. However, let's always remember that this is a software simulation, so having no inertia on the body or all the forces acting is surely something to have in mind when comparing this to real life: this is not real life. So it gets close, but not equal to what a car will do or how it will behave.

And one great thing that I was forgetting, if you've read this thus far: you can add mods!!! New racing games are suffering of this disease called "no you cannot change this game anymore". So I think rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa are the last ones that you can add tracks and cars as you see fit and as you find them on the Internet, which is great because there are sooooo great mods out there. And who will release that F1 1990 season you so eagerly wanted to race? Yes: nobody. Therefore, mods. Mods are great works from commom but talented people who love racing, and no software house will release every season or every car you've ever dreamt of. This is a great point for Assetto Corsa: you can race the basic tracks and cars, the DLC ones, but you can also get your Ferrari 1983 F1 and take it for a ride in, say, the old Buenos Aires track, the old Interlagos track, or even Baku in current F1. Which are not originally available - they are all mods.

Did I forget to say something? I don't know. I just know that i love Assetto Corsa, I love kunos and the guys for creating such a great racing game/simulator, maybe the pit menu is a bit confusing and configuring a wheel should be more clear and with more options for actions. But it's the best sim available. Yet.

RaceRoom is great? Sure. So I'd put them both on the same level. But you can't customize RaceRoom. If you want a car or a track, see if it's available and buy it! How about rFactor 2? OMG that user interface of theirs is kinda horrible... they should use the menu in rFactor 1 and repeat it bit by bit in RF2 hahaha because it's really awful, hard to understand, to get to where you wanna go, and managing a server is even more confusing. Oh, true: there's a Server Manager in Assetto Corsa, but you need to figure out how to open ports on your modem and configure them in the Server Manager. And never delete the first original example of server configs. Clone that and create new ones for you, because it's a buggy software that kunos will not fix, or so it seems. If you erase the main original server, all servers you creat won't be saved!!!!! So clone the original one, and then work from that, never erasing the original.

So a positive thing about servers in AC: you can set a server in your own home computer, very easily. Well, not that easily, but with a bit of work, it can be done. And after the first one, the others are less hard to configure.

So, kudos to kunos!!!!! Love you, guys, grazie mille per tutto il lavoro con Assetto Corsa, questo è veramente un software di simulazione fantastico. And everyone out there: if you have the chance to buy it, or see those Black Friday offers with all DLC contents and original game for a ridiculous low price, PURCHASE IT!!!! You won't regret, at all. It's still on the same level of Competizione, RF2, AMS2 and RaceRoom, but a lot cheaper, more customizable, more flexible, and more fun! And very realistic, too.

Again, I would trust AC before going to Nordschleife, maybe I'd also trust RaceRoom, but not the others. Well, iRacing does a great job, but it's been 8 years since I last played it.

Thank you for reading.

Fantastic graphics, fantastic sound, fantastic physics, very close to reality at least with cars under 400hp. And I believe that's the same for more powerful cars too. Great inheritance from Race07, the natural evolution from SimBin. Unfortunately, they are not supporting Race07 servers anymore... I wish Sector3 could give it some more years, as Race07 was a great sim, and good for less powerful computers. And it doesn't steal customers from R3E. If I could help it'd be great.
