God it's so good. I don't have enough words for this one. If you enjoy RPGs in any capacity, you are just absolutely missing out. Not just one of the best games this year but one of the best on Steam, period. If you enjoy theory crafting, building your DnD character, what have you, this game is that times to the Nth degree. It's addictive for all the right reasons, classic CRPG vibes with roguelike sensibilities and zero bloat. No bloat doesn't mean lacking for content though- the variance will keep you up at night, theorizing new combos even after you turn the game off.

It's not merely system driven though, with the older pixel style and its restrained use of prose creating a beautiful sense of atmosphere. It's clear that the dev doesn't just care about the system but the fiction created by the game. What fiction? Read the class descriptions, item flavor text, area text, the short poems generated before and after a run. It's beautiful, it's atmospheric. It's classic swords and sorcery at its finest.

God it's so good.

While it's true that it could use some polish, this is absolutely one of the more hidden RLDB gems on Steam and you're missing out if you don't give it a try. More importantly than its rough edges, it's *fun*, has a distinct identity in an over-saturated genre, and has a highly active dev who continues to improve the game with both content and QOL improvements. Don't sleep on it.

Throwing a positive review here because I DO think the game is worth your time, when viewed on its own. If you're a diehard enjoyer of 2064 and are viewing this as a direct sequel, you will likely find it lacking- but viewed on its own, or as supplemental to 2064, it's a great time and worth your energy. Fun MCs, beautiful art, and an easily digestible run time make for a highly enjoyable VN, and it's fully voiced to top it off.

The PvP Battle Network game of your dreams, unbelievably priced at $5. Buy this game so it can have a thriving competitive scene, it deserves it.

Beautiful compact art experience! It's a great feeling to just sit with it and wander around the environments, I loved my time with it.

Great little roguelite gem! Especially worth it if you have someone to play versus mode with and mess around with the different spell combos.

Cute cozy little autumn game! It's got all the classics: wood, corn, potlucks. A nice time especially for the price!

Great game, one of the best fighters to date. Negative reviewers have just never spoken to a woman before. If you have spoken to a woman before, you'll love this game.

An absolute must play if you enjoy narrative in games. Ord evokes a wide range of feelings with only single word answers, keeping you playing for much longer than you might expect. Expert usage of minimalism allows the player to fill in the blanks, creating a sense of story rarely seen in games.
