Yers, it's more of the same, but it's a new map, it's lengthy and the gameplay is just as great as in the base game. Can't wait for the final map!

Don't be deceived by the gaming press or the game's marketing: this is not a mere homage to the X-Files and to the works of David Lynch. While the game shares some references to them, it very much stands on its own feet.
Virginia is a fantastic narrative experience, pushing the boundaries of interactive fiction by using music and especially editing in a way no game has done before. It finds its very own language of telling its story which does not need any words, but relies, self-confidently, on its visual story telling. It's doing amazing things in this regard that will surely have an impact on video game narratology.
If it weren't for the final act of the game which was a little bit too ambigious for my taste, I'd be looking at one of the best narrative experiences ever. It's still more than worthy of a playthrough.

Unacceptable Release. Still runs badly forcing me to run it on low settings to get somewhat tolerable fps. Also experienced a lot of sound bugs in the time I played. I don't know what they have done the last 4 months but it's not enough. Throwing some old ass games at customers that they likely already have anyways isn't helping either.
Don't support this garbage.

Kentucky Route Zero's trip into the underbelly of the American countryside is really something. It's creating an overwhelming feeling of melancholy fueled by the consequences of capitalism, regrets, the loneliness of the road, getting old, a brilliant bluegrass/sythie-soundtrack and a million other things.
With the exxeption of the games by "The Chinese Room", Kentucky Route Zero is also probably the only game I've ever played that is actually deeply concerned about the quality of its prose and dialogue. The words and sentences flow majestically and are worthy of the games' rolemodels:
Kentucky Route Zero is as close to "Lost Highway" as it is to "100 Years of Solitude". It's as much "No Country for Old Man" as it is a ghost story. In the end, despite all the references, it is a very unique work of art that you should play if you have any interest in games as an art form exploring the human condition.
There's also a bureau full of bears sitting around peacefully, in case you needed any more convincing.

Thief 2 is a masterpiece, a symphony of perfect level design that has not been surpassed to this day. Intelligent design that takes its players seriously. Unlike its predecessor, the focus on stealth is much higher making this the ultimate thief experience. In addition, Karras is one creepy villain. That voice is haunting!
It does not have the horror elements of Thief 1 & 3, but I still believe that this is the absolute highlight of the series. "Life of the Party" may very well be the best level I have ever played in any game.

This is why I love video games. It's as far away from soulless AAA shooters as a game can get. Lovely scenario, brilliant writing and simple, yet engaging gameplay. If you don't like this game, there's a good chance you don't have a heart or your last name is Kotick!

If you like comics, you have to have this game. Irrational Games attention to detail when it comes to 60's comics style is amazing. There is dialogue in this game that will have you in tears. Gameplay itself is alse quite good, though nothing revolutionary. Still, for a few bucks, this is a must buy.
