I've just finished my first play-through, and holy Hades, what a ride!

For me, everything from the characters to the music to the art style just works and syncs so so well together. Every character you meet and come across feels so very well written and voiced to perfection, I felt I could relate to some of them so well - it feels so inclusive and wholesome. Stray Gods does touch on some darker themes with some characters, absolutely, but I feel the narrative navigates them quite well without said themes being lit up in neon lights and thrust in your face like other forms of media tend to.

It has plenty of funny moments and it has plenty of sad moments, I'm not ashamed to admit that a few scenes and songs got the better of my emotions but I feel that's a huge testament to how strong Stray Gods is with its narrative.

Naturally, having only played through it the once, so far, I can't speak for how different the plot may pan out by going with other choices off into other branches and so on, but I am excited to find out!

I really do recommend Stray Gods! It'll make you laugh, it may also bring you to tears but it's so worth it.

While DA Inquisition is an amazing game (have many, many more hours logged on the Origin version), I've found several issues with the Steam 'port', in the sense that it doesn't always launch as intended, nor does the Steam overlay work, and despite contacting EA several times with hopes of seeing a suitable fix, after the guides failed to fix, they've come up useless. Regardless, the world of Thedas continues to be immersive and deeply rich with its lore and cast of characters.

6/10 - One of my favourite franchises, a beautiful and immersive game. However, only a six due to it not wanting to work as the Steam/ Origin linking doesn't appear to work, nor do EA appear to care to fix it anytime soon. Buy it on Origin or elsewhere.

While it's only the standalone online segment, it doesn't take away from how rich and immersive the game world is, with so much to do and, at present, with five roles to dive into, there's plenty of content for both new and existing players to find. That being said, I would urge new players to take their time with doing everything on offer, as if one were to power through everything at a quick pace, there's a chance they'd grow bored. It's absolutely more fun to group up with friends and ride around hunting, collecting and nabbing bounties though it's also very enjoyable as a solo player.

8/10 - Based on the lack of a truly defined Outlaw role (which may change in the coming update!)
