Overall it's fairly entertaining and it's fair to give a recommendation for that.
I achieved full completion in about 7 hours I think but since I have some experience with platformers it might take some people longer. Why do I have 71.9 hours on record tho? Well cause of an annoying achievement that requires you to play for 66.6 hours...gotta hate those kinds of achievements and myself for being an achievement ♥♥♥♥♥.

To be fair there might be more worthwhile community content in the workshop but I usually never go that far unless I really love a game. Base game a little short and not challenging enough.

Despite the cute looks the game is actually fairly difficult and it'll require some effort and time to finish it.
The gravity concept is well done throughout the game and is used in various ways so it never get's repetitive.

Some people report getting motion sickness from this game but I never had any issues. When I first tried it years ago I dropped it quickly cause I didn't take my time getting used to the concept but I'm glad I picked it up again cause I love challenging platformers.

Worth the price even if not on sale.

It's almost ridiculous how insanely good every aspect of this game is and how everything fits together.
I can't even think of good enough words to describe it but I'll be sure to buy the sequel to this game as soon as it comes out at full price because apart from this game being 10/10 the devs seem to be awesome as well.

So yeah, even if this is not on sale it's easily worth more than what they're asking.

Tons of easter eggs in addition to a fairly long playtime.

My very first purchase on Steam 7 years ago. You might think VVVVVV feels old considering those years already passed AND cause of it's retro style but it's a nice little game that has a great flow and uplifting soundtrack that makes it feel refreshing.

Also great level design that is sure to test your abilities. Achievement hunters might wanna stay away from it since the no death run achievement is impossible for regular humans imho and everyone who manages to get it is a god in my book.
