Quern is a 10/10 myst inspired puzzle game.

Puzzles are satisfying to solve, made me feel smart by figruing them out. I enjoyed the difficultly; more than once I thought I had a puzzle solved quick, but it ended up being more than I thought. A good amount of the puzzles were creative, not similar to puzzles from other games. All off the puzzles fit into the world well. They actually felt like part of the world instead of being forced in. Many of the inventory items are used multiple times throughout the game, so puzzles aren't necessarily "spoiled" by finding items. The world and atmosphere is interesting and made me want to find out more about it. The different areas varied enough that they each had their own feel to them, but still all fit together. Most games like this are quite short, but my first playthrough took about 20 hours. You can press ALT and objects in the world you can interact with will slighty glow. This is nice because I hate in other games when you get stuck on a puzzle just becasue you didnt see something hanging on a walk or you just thought something was part of the background. My words really don't do it justice. If you like the type of puzzle game where you wander around trying to figure out what to do without any handholding from the game, this is a must pick up.

It has achievements and trading cards as well, if that matters to you.

Criticism of this game is just a few nitpicks. The loading screen when loading a file (as well as one specific moment in game) is quite long. I fairly often would walk into a bump or pebble on a path and get stuck for a second. There is one spiral staircase that is just a headache to traverse.
