It's a fine game, but ultimately paradox abandoned development before they could put some polish on it. That said, the free mods made by the community improve the game significantly. For the purpose of mega-campaigns, there are mods that extend the timeline to the fall of Rome with corresponding historical events as well as slow down the culture/religious conversion rate. Additionally, the Fallen Eagle mod for CK3 brings back the games timeline to the fall of Rome, creating the perfect bridge between games for a mega-campaign. As such, I've come around somewhat on this game.

it's alright.

This game is absolutely incredible, one of my favorites in a really long time.
That said, the less you know beforehand the more you will get out of this experience:

-You are capable of not killing anyone.

-This game is both hilarious and story driven and manages not to let one push the other out of balance.

-You should buy this game, and if you do not buy this game you are a bad person and you should feel bad.

10/10, easily one of my favorite games of all time.

Deeply philosophical, I don't like puzzle games but I do like philosophy so it all works out.

First one had four animatronic butt pirates, but was hardly enough to satiate my craving for them, this one however has 11 different animatronic butt pirates, and let me tell you I am more than satiated in fact I am mildly aroused. 10/10
