Small update: I forgot a little detail; I logged into the phishing site after following the link. That means I didn't actually get hacked. Also, the scammer (or someone else) awarded me with the "jester" award so that's 200 steam points for free. Thanks, I guess?

You probably should setup 2 factor authentication to help prevent hacking. With 2 factor authentication you can use another factor as part of your authentication process so that just knowing your password isn't enough for a hacker to get in. I use my steam mobile app as my second authentication factor and it gives me a random code to put in after I login with the username/password.

Things seem to have calmed down for now. Found a website that shows my previous friend history https://steamid.uk/ will be adding people back slowly. THANK YOU to anyone who posted on my profile, I logged in on a whim before bed and saw your comments and knew exactly what happened. It's possibly thanks to you that I still have control over this account.

I just changed my password, hope that fixes things. I'm so sorry to everyone this hacker affected. Trying to add as many people back as I can. They were blocking everyone they unfriended and I stupidly cleared the blocked list so now I don't know who they deleted. Again, I'm sorry. Never been hacked before, doing my best. - Lucky

And yes, Rivals of Aether is very fun, particularly if you are a fan of Smash, and it takes many mechanics from melee, and wraps it into a tightly packaged, well balanced game.
