After literal years of staying with bungie there's one thing that will always remain true with them. The cycle of "Its Joever" only to be followed up a little later with "We're SO BACK" The game is wonderful in sound design and there truly isnt anything like it, the light and darkness saga was climactic up until the ending with the boss of The Final Shape being defeated.. But with that there's a vaccuum. You've finished the story you took 10 years to tell, where from here? How do you make it feel as epic as this grand struggle that you've built over the last decade? In my opinion, you cant really.

The multiplayer aspect of the game (PVP) is wildly a pendulum, it feels constantly like stomping or being stomped, the "Endgame PVP Activity" of Trials of Osiris has been criticized heavily for the amount of cheaters/hackers/network manipulators that it makes it unbearable to play. The core modes have barely been touched in the last 3-5 years it feels with Strikes, and Gambit (RIP Gambit Prime) getting nothing but a small tweak once in a blue moon. The only thing they care about is the ~~Seasonal Model~~ Echoes and Chapters, so if you dont enjoy playing the same 6 person matchmade activity with a macguffin to protect, you arent gonna like the game.

Raids- Holy ♥♥♥♥, the raids are the saving grace of this game. Going into a new endgame dungeon specifically made for you and 5 other idiots, the puzzle solving on day 1, figuring out optimal damage rotations, how the bosses move about the environment and everyone seems to have a part to play in it. *Chefs kiss* The raids truly are the best part of this dumpster fire of a game... for the first few times... After that they become a slog for loot, running the same few encounters once a week in hopes that you get the drop you need off pure luck to only get armor that will instantly get dismantled once you open your inventory and see anything less than 60. They thankfully helped a little bit with that by being able to buy the weapons at the final encounter, as well as the secret chests in the newer raids. But the moment that you get the ability to craft the weapons why even revisit the raids?

In short, the game has insanely high highs. But they last for a very very short period of time, and get replaced by some of the lowest lows.
