Actually, I don't give a d--n about Season Pass of DJMAX because most of the time they doesn't served anything I wanted.

but they contain a banger song just only on the season pass, well it's banger than Falcom DLC for sure. The cost is less than unlocking a single SDVX song for at the moment as I reviewing. (YES, I MEANT { eXLIPXe } IS EXPENSIVE MORE THAN THIS)

I give this one as "pass" then.

Thank you for releasing DJMAX Respect on PC but before I'm talking about negative things I'm gonna talk about the overall things first.


It's DJMAX and that's it. Vertical lane, Easy to look pattern, and even play with "any" controller that you can afford for. (I have played it with PS4 controller / Yuancon (Keyboard mode)

Old school DJMAX style : 4B/5B/6B/6BFX (6 Button + Red note as FX button)

Mission mode: This one I can say that was almost easy to learn DJMAX from time to time. You can learn DJMAX with mission mode and bring some Gimmicks from older DJMAX mission (Gear moving, Full-screen Gear, (actual) Mirror play, etc.)
[Note: Mission mode in DJMAX, Clazziquai is easiest.]

Unlock progression: Not like DJMAX Trilogy, Songs can be unlocked by play count. But Gear/Equipment must play in Mission mode or some requirement in Collection (Please check it out).


Yes, They trying to bring most of the songs from every DJMAX Franchise. And they focus to catch up with PS4 first.
And DLC, I think this year (2020) they about to update the game month by month. Should be good enough.

FPS Unlock support / High Refresh rate monitor support. [All that I can say]
But if you having some unstable things about timing, I highly recommended using V-Sync.


Online mode: You can play with a pre-created lobby and It's not restricted just 2 people like DJMAX Respect PS4. And Respect V having a rank mode to challenge another player.

AIR mode: In short, Radio mode. Replaced with Arcade mode in PS4.


I love how this DJMAX team love their customers. [more detail below.] They released the physical OST for a limited time but I miss the pre-order. A few months later, They release a digital download in Steam and it contains MP3 and WAV format. And about to releasing more the past OST too.

NEGATIVE THINGS. [Fanboy / Butt-hurt ALERT]

1. When RESPECT V got early access on stream. They try to fix everything and timing isn't fix yet. I heard the sounds it's quite a bit late than I hit a key sound.



1.1 Sometimes, I cannot get into the main menu screen at all. I'm playing on my PC with higher spec but my laptop is equal like my PC but stuck at the main menu screen [everything is black just only heard sounds.]

2. I want to switch from PS4 to PC. And I think this one I will say goodbye But Rocky Studio decides to remove a bunch of things on PS4. I think they try to make RESPECT Series to equal each other.

3. Regional Prices. They changed the prices on the launch date. And they had a form to refund/ request a special code for those who purchase the game for higher prices. I fill the form and they didn't reply to me yet. Bunch of my friends got the upgrade to RESPECT V Deluxe edition [That contain Emotional Sense / V Extension DLC.] BUT I DID NOT GET ANYTHING.

4. As the PS4 player. They focusing to release everything on Steam first but PS4 just no sign of any "new" update. Cytus DLC no ETA for PS4, Free TAPSONIC songs didn't come to PS4 [They released on RESPECT V on 18 June but on July no sign of any update yet.]

Update: September 2020 : They released Cytus DLC on PS4 with a bunch of glitch that some song cannot be play on PS4.

Update: On October 2020 : Delay for hot fix on a couples week later. Still, idk why they're patching hot fix on Steam so fast but on PS4 like they didn't care at all.

Conclusion

I'm kinda disappointed with the team. But the game is always good. If you look for a good rhythm game. Don't miss this one. This one I'm highly recommended to buy it. Good songs, Good BGA, Good content, everything is good. But this time let me rant about the PS4 side.

"Actual" TAPSONIC coming to PC O_o

Gameplay :
I thought it was a port of TAPSONIC TOP on PC but I was wrong.
There has a mechanic like TAPSONIC TOP such as Slide note, Flick, Dynamic lane change, Key lane.

But or more special than that this game including some special mission (but the mission itself is good enough and it was easier than DJMAX Trilogy due to too many key lanes.)

Still, I prefer they'll release more Gear / Note / Customization more than this. Someone wants to play on 2D Vertical Lanes.

BGAs :
I think some of them using from DJMAX Respect resources on PS4 when upscale is good enough. But the BOLD itself it does not have much BGA (I hope they're working on this and please make a TAPSONIC DLC in Respect)

And if you don't like BGA u can choose album cover (eyecatch) or another visualizer.

Playlist :
This one it's my BIG concern. First, on Early Access, they lacked a playlist and Original content doesn't include. But in the Release version, I saw original about 15+ songs.

And now they're including a few BMS songs, O2Jam collaboration songs (20+ more on DLC).

Graphics :
I'm not sure why developer setting just set windows mode by default but I knew why.
If you play a fullscreen mode on monitor 21+ inches, I think it will hurt your eyes so much. And you need to take a break in 20 minutes and come back to play again.
(Yes, I'm using 144 Hz monitor and it works flawlessly than ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game name osu!)

Conclusion :
I'll keep playing this more than other music game in Steam. + I'll be waiting for DJMAX Trilogy port on Steam.

Homefront : OPEN WORLD O_o.

I kinda hate story at the end. But I felt like they had a good ways to publish this style of Homefront.

Gun mechanic : Kinda good customization but too few to customize it. And recoil is some of - acceptable.

At least they're had a few EZ2AC songs.

First thought, I don't want to buy this game either. But this ยrice I'll give it a shot. So yeah Worth the price btw.

Gameplay it's look like other rhythm games. But it had easier judgement , 2 difficulty for each song, 2 styles of vertical layout (3d and 2d) , and fairly health bar. (tl:dr = it's good for newbies to play rhythms games)

About playlist itself I HIGHLY RECOMMANDED TO BUY FOREVER FRIENDS DLC because default one had about 10 -20 song. But in DLC it had a lot more .

This one supposed to be free. But i buy for skip Demo scene.
