The gameplay takes a lot of inspiration from World War Z, and it works so well in the 40K universe, especially with the Tyranids. Whoever thought of that deserves some serious credit. The gameplay is fun and has enough depth to keep you engaged for hours. Sabre Interactive did a great job fitting a parry system into a shooter, and it works really smooth.

The weapons feel powerful and unique, each with its own pros and cons (though a few could use a buff). The atmosphere and world-building are fantastic, and the sound design makes you feel like you’re really inside that power armor. Every step feels like a stomp through mud, you truly feel like an Astartes.

I really hope the devs expand this into a live service game with more weapons, operations, classes, maps, and more. If you're a 40K fan, this is a must-play. Even if you're new to 40K, this is a perfect entry point, and if you like third-person shooters like Gears of War, you'll definitely enjoy it.

Also, there’s no annoying DRM or microtransactions. All future content (aside from cosmetics) will be free, and if you grab the season pass, you get all the future cosmetic packs. The only downside is the Epic Online Services, but since it’s just for crossplay, I can let that pass.

I've seen some complaints about Ultrawide support and crashes, but the devs have already addressed Ultrawide support and it's set to arrive this month (September 2024). Personally, I haven’t had any crashes or issues on my system.

I had my doubts due to its DLC policy and the high overall cost with all the DLCs, but after 11 hours in, I have zero regrets. This game is exceptional. The amount of content is impressive. The differences between the factions make each one unique, and the battles are unlike any other. Definitely worth the money.

This is bigger than most sequel games I've played, and FromSoft calls it a DLC. It's more of what you love about Elden Ring: more weapons, spells, incantations, enemies, and bosses. Yes, some enemy types and bosses from the main game are reused, but that's okay. Miyazaki never fails to deliver. PS: If you think this DLC is hard, try collecting Scadutree Fragments.

I may still have reservations about Sony's past decisions, but the developers behind Helldivers have earned my respect. Despite a few bugs, this is one of the best games I've played in a long time. The developers, especially Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt, have consistently proven to be pro-consumer. There's no pay-to-win mechanics, no aggressive microtransactions, and no pay-to-play content. Everything is accessible through gameplay alone.

As long as Sony doesn't make any more questionable decisions, this game is definitely worth the money. If your budget allows, don't wait for a discount. Plus, we need more Helldivers on the frontlines to combat the Automaton and Terminid menace. Join us and help spread managed democracy throughout the galaxy.

PS: As of July 31, 2024, many players around the world still cannot purchase this game due to Sony's questionable decisions.

Epic Online Services, no thank you. So you want to bring the game into Steam but force me to use EoS this is ridiculous. If I was okay with Epic's garbage I would've bought the game on Epic a year ago.

This isn't worth it, many people are dropping positive review because of the nostalgia. This is just another quick and lazy money grab by EA. No 21:9 resolution support, online is not available, forced to buy the bundle, menu titles not show up at certain resolutions. It really is not worth it at all.

I have no idea what I'm doing, but it still is fun. Guess that's gotta mean something

This game is phenomenal, and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you love metal music and enjoy slaying demons, look no further. Every time I pull the trigger, I find myself headbanging, it’s that good! Don’t hesitate, just buy it..

This is not a game, this is an experience. An experience you will not forget, nor regret going through.
