Being a huge fan of Platinum Games I was really excited to finally play Transformers: Devastation. The game plays like something you would expect from other Platinum Games titles. There is insane over the top action throughout the game. Transformers: Devastation has amazing cell shaded graphics that looks like I am playing the Transformers series that I watched in the 80's. I had a lot of fun from start to finish. I would recommend this game to those who are fans of Platinum Games and Transformers. However, I do need to say that I was able to finish the campaign in about 5 hours. Today writing this review is the launch day for Transformers: Devastation and I know a lot of people are considering if they should buy it. For many people out there that are not too interested in Transformers or Platinum Games past titles I would say wait until this game is on sale. In addition to the 5 hour story mode there are also 50 challenges that you can play. Many of these 50 challenges were simply sections that were taken out of the games campaign. But I know that for many reading this review that $50 is way too much for a 5 hour campaign. If the game just had 2-3 hours more content in the story I would recommend Transformers: Devastation to everyone. An early press copy of Transformers: Devastation was provided to me to review.
