This isn't a game that I felt compelled to play all the time, but it is one that was near impossible to stop once I got into it. Trying to exit is frequently postponed by saying "just one more...". The game essentially takes you on a 35 year journey through gaming history, except you also get to make your mark on the game industry. It's engaging to the point where you almost start to take pride in your work; game failures are disappointing (and sometimes frustrating when you think you have a winner) while game successes feel extremely rewarding.

It isn't perfect, but Game Dev Tycoon is a fun little game with amusing parallels to reality. Give it shot!

Horrendously difficult in the best way possible.
