As much as I love this game, I can't in good conscience recommend giving Frontier any of your money at the time of writing. The fact that the first new ship in the game in 5 years is locked behind cash shop currency for several months when all other ships added to the game have been available with in-game money immediately at launch is pretty grim to say the least, and that combined with the ability to buy pre-engineered ships also for real money (which kind of defeats the purpose of the game imo?) really doesn't have me feeling optimistic about where this game is headed. Which is a shame, given how much potential it has/had.
