The best grand strategy ever. A must play for every paradox fanboy.

edit: 2800 hours later, I am fully in support of my original statement. If you haven't yet tried EU4, give it a go. It may seem overwhelming to a newcomer but once you get the hang of the very basics you'll be able to play and learn as you go, opening the way to a beautiful historical sandbox with infinite replayability.

Enough can not be said about Age of Empires, but everyone who had their share of experience with this franchise will know. Never played the game, you say? Well then, don't wait for anything, buy it!

Been playing AoE2 since like 2000 and it's still brilliant. The HD edition brought much refreshment for the game, with better graphics, native HD resolution and multi display support. What's the kickass for a casual player though, is the Multiplayer and Steam Workshop. Multiplayer is now ran through Steam, which eliminates all the trouble we've had since ES shut down.

If you're deciding on buying, i can't do better than encourage you and wish you good luck in the next hundreds of hours of wonderful and for some of you nostalgic gameplay.

A big "boo" to Snowblind for an absolute lack of support. This game is full of bugs and i haven't been able to finish it without at least 10 crashes plus occasional gameplay bugs in each playthrough. Finished the game four times, just for the info.

Crashes should be less frequent with nVidia GPUs but they're still there nonetheless. I mysef have experienced a horrible experience stability-wise running on different AMD GPUs, especially in the last level, the Carn Dum fortress.

The game itself is a fine coop rpg, and hadn't it been for all the crashing, i would have had recommended it. Had some fun playing with a friend, until it started crashing for him (with an nVidia GPU) in the Barrow Downs and made the level unfinishable. Shame on you, Snowblind.
