For example but he has also been good in races such as mugello and abu dhabi and Austria, which was clearly lewis fault and he was on for a win, and in the other races i’d say he’s been around ok to not great but i think f1 fans fall into comparing him to max when to put it simply no one in f1 would be on max’s pace in the Red bull car. I think he hasn't had a great season but neither has latifi neither has ocon really and my point is i dont think its deserving of him losing his seat but i'm willing to accept that it's not too harsh to say he's been bad. It has clearly been confidence as he has shown he is one of the best overtakers and can be good.

Following along about the car now and what i don't understand is how people don't realise that there's a clear problem with that 2nd seat in red bull. Gasly was poor at red bull and look at him now and while i think it was harsh for him to go it proves that now it's the 2nd time a driver has struggled in it. The car is clearly built around max and how can we prove Perez will do well. Perez has had a brilliant season but he hasn't always with McLaren for example but I agree he has been definitely out performing his car over his career but he has spent 7 years in this racing point now/ force india and so you can't guarantee at all that he'll be able to adapt

Personally I think he’ll struggle. Evident form gasly and Alex the car is clearly very hard to adapt to and with 7 years in one car only i find it hard to believe he'll adapt quickly and as a nearing retirement driver, yes fernando is 38 but many retire earlier, and with plans for 2022 I don't understand why to bring him in when like i said you can't guarantee he’ll i instantly adapt and like i sad he has plans for 2022 so it is almost pointless to bring him in over alex who is slowly adapting to the red bull car as much as you may not think so alex and christian have both said he has maybe at a slow rate but he has, and so the only chance it proves useful is if perez quickly adapts and if so then fair enough but i honestly doubt he will.

Having him as 2nd driver not only hinders Alex’s progress ,i mean if perez does flop it has to be the worst decision in f1 in a while, but if he is at max’s pace which i doubt then it may be a ricciardo max situation which does not end up being beneficial. Red bull are still not near to fighting with constructors even with 2 max verstappens they wouldn't be able to beat Mercedes so to bring Perez in to improve from 2nd in constructors to 2nd in constructors is pointless. Even if Perez does thrive it isnt to beneficial as they are not fighting for anything and so they may as well try to improve a younger driver and prepare for 2022 wether that's in gastly or tsunoda or alex but an older driver I see as pointless.

Not only this but F1 fans are so reactive when perez doesn't do well everyone will slate him and want hulkenberg and no one will realise it's clearly the red bull.
I do also think that it’s unlucky and of course it's a sport but the fact that gasly kept his seat after alex was forced into an impossible job and that mazepin keeps his shows where the sport is going. I still think tsunoda should've been given one more year to stop the mistakes he makes and have alex in a car other than the red bull with gasly because let's be honest then we would have really known wether alex was up to it instead of the impossible red bull.

Regardless if Perez does adapt quickly then its an ok move but if he doesn't then instantly it hinders the whole situation so we will see but i honestly think he won't and it'll leave red bull in a bad situation with their 2nd driver etc
