I've Played this game for 5 years now, since before I even owed it myself, and as someone who spends most of their free time in this game, I can say that I would recommend it. It's fun, and immersive, the community is great, and there are constant updates to the number of blocks and what those blocks are. With or without mods, any build is possible in this game, everything from Wall-E to Star Destroyers. The developers are very immersed in the community itself, and are always looking for new things to add to the game, and new things the community has been wanting. I find myself Giddy with excitement when an update comes out, so it's really just an overall spectacular game.
