So far I am enjoying this game a lot. I have some thoughts that I didn't see anyone mention that might interest a new player, so I'll write them here.

The game runs well and does look pretty. All of the character models are stylish and high quality.
I have experienced no bugs, graphical or gameplay.
The UI is a little bland and clunky, but it's not distracting. Nothing some polish or streamlining couldn't fix.
While yes there is a LOT of information thrown at you on screen at first, the devs do a really great job at indicating what items and materials you need to focus on. It looks confusing on your first and second game, but once you understand the important bits of the UI, it's very easy to grasp; you're told exactly what materials you need to gather from which areas.

Which brings me to the itemization system.

I have played League of Legends for years, and while Eternal Return certainly does not have the item depth that LoL does, there are a variety of item builds that are viable for the characters. It's not very difficult to find what you need to craft a weapon that will give you a first place win; you don't have to rely on RNG to get a golden weapon from an airdropped loot crate. Even the recommended item builds will serve you well, at least on the characters I have played. I would say that winning is usually going to rely more on your skill at timing and landing your abilities than steamrolling other players with overpowered gear

That said, the UI for the item crafting tree is pretty obtuse and poorly displayed. When you pop open the window to see the full build path for a particular item you want to make, that window is off centered on your screen. You have to scroll in some cases to see all the materials you need, and there is no way that I have found to compare what item you are hovering over to what item you have currently equipped, a huge flaw. I have had to mouse back and forth between my equipped inventory in the bottom corner and the crafting window to compare stats manually. It takes WAY too much time to do during a match. There is no reason that mousing over an item in the item list should not also display the tooltip for your equipped item as well, devs PLEASE implement this.

---

In general, the game is very fun to play, as a fan of both MOBAs and Battle Royals. It's a fresh take on both genres and while I am still learning, I can see the skill expression for some of these characters and it is exciting, so I recommend you try it out.
