SO, I really don't want to give this game a negative review but I have to at this point. I'm 260 hrs into that game and the design of this game is just off. It's almost like the development team created this game to fail. Out of all the servers in the game only one has a medium population and all the others have a low population. This game is A LOT of fun until you get to the Deep Desert. There is nothing wrong with the Deep Desert but the way the game is designed it does NOTHING to force you to play in a group, find a guild or make friends in game. Because of this, as long as you follow the story and do not go into a new area until the game prompts you to do so, you are good and will not face anything you cannot handle on your own. The problem with that is by the time you get to the Deep Desert it greatly benefits you to be in a group or guild. You can solo the Deep Desert but gathering materials for the MK 6 gear and vehicles will take a very long time and can get very painful and time consuming. A lot of players have either worked their way up to MK 5 equipment and then started over with a new character on another server or quit because of the challenges soloing the Deep Desert. Or they push through and find a group which is very hard considering the minimal player base at the moment. Or they solo the Deep Desert and then quit because there is nothing to do after that. The game is fun don't get me wrong but the design needs to be worked over to push people to play together and have content that keeps people coming back before they even reach the Deep Desert.

I hope the devs find a way to turn the game around. My adavice is not the buy the game unless you are OK not getting to end game, have the time to grind for hours to get end game or have a group that is dedicated to this game to play with.

This is all EA had to do to keep Command and Conquer going. But they instead tried to over complicate the formula. Great work to the developers and publishers!

Also going with Frank Klepacki was a clutch move!

OK, so I played this for almost 8 hours. It's cool to a point. I played Aion back in the day so I was looking for an experience like that. However, I'm level 11 and I feel like I have gotten 0 story so far other than the intro. The combat isn't as fun as I'd like either. I'm hoping they fix some of these aspects to the game so that the beauty of the game matches the game play.

Early Access Review
This game had potential but went way off the rails.

I have a better story for this game.

Timmy, remember him? He gets a job working for Sahara Therapeutics (ST) to try and figure out how to cure himself. He travels to the Island with a group of people to do more research for ST. This is when Puffton Industries (PI) comes in to play. During the intro you are attacked by cannibals and you are separated from your team. You find out that PI is already on the Island trying to search for artifacts. PI appears to have befriended the cannibals and uses them to try and slow you down. Timmy works his way through the forest and collects items and builds bases and the like, just like from The Forrest.

During your travels you find out that PI is actually using an artifact to control the cannibals. You fight back against PI while trying to obtain the artifact to turn the cannibals against PI. You also stumble across more info about what you are dealing with since you left the island in the first one as well as a possible cure. You meet Virgina (normal human) who you befriend and she helps you. You find a possible cure and find out that PI recently found another artifact that happens to control the final boss. You beat the boss and escape as the cannibals take back the island from PI and ST.

That's just a half tried example of a better story than what is in the game right now.

Avoid the game and just play the original.

Take Two Interactive and RockStar Games need to realize that even though they created the game it doesn't mean that people that buy it have to play it the way they want them to.

GTA 4 was a good game but only went so far. Modding the game made its life expectancy much longer. LCPDFR is a big reason why people were still buying the game up to the point and even after GTA 5 was released.

Then RockStar says if you want to mod the game that's fine. If you can't do it online. I understand that because of the currency aspect to the game. If you nod you get banned simple as that. OK fine.

Now we have people working on their own servers to host online gameplay of GTA 5. Take Two and RockStar are. It loosing money from that but they get upset and send out letters and the project ends.....but then it continues months later and is great.

Now that they see they can't stop them they go after OpenIV that allows you to easily mod the game as far as textures, skins, models and so on.

All I have to say is that when GTA 6 is released and they see that it doesn't sell as many copies and doesn't continue to sell copies after the hype dies down maybe then they will realize the positive impact modding has on their sells and income produce by their games.

They want to be anti-modding then that's fine but say goodbye to the money you guys make after your game falls flat and gets boring.
