ohhhh noooo! a new map already, thats one way to kill your game huh :( you should have spent a few months fixing the game before adding more ♥♥♥♥ that probably wont work... compare to Tarkov they spent a year updating and fixing their game before adding a new map (reserve). this is so dissapointing this is not what i wanted for season 2.

Holy Balls! Its Amazing, im leaving this review purly for the devs creating this Incredible piece of software, i tryed this about 7 or 8 months ago when it was fairly new, at first i was blown away being able to make fairly minecraftesc scenarios, low detail no biggy, it took me a few hours to relise i could zoom in to add more detail.... then holy doog poo, it opened up SOOO MANY OPTIONS. created an entire city using large blocks of cubes then zoomed in slightly to decrese the size of my brush, hollowed out all your buildings then shrunk myself down to an ant then walked into this massive humungus skyscrapper that i was just observing from above. as a writer and creator of imagineering this tools is amazing for quickly being able to scetch out an idea, then spend the next 3-4 hours zooming in and out to add in tiny amounts of detail that really makes a world of difference making the idea perfect. just when i thought this couldnt get any better you add smooth meshes... it does need more work ill admit but being a vet of VR i dont get motion sickness and other such problems that some begininer VR users have, but im so incredibly stoked you decideced to add that feature. i only wish you dont get to washed away in the money side of things and keep pasionate about makeing what i really hope becomes an essential tool for the future of virtual reality. i do have suggestions to further make this awesome but my review is not the place for that. id even go as far to say this is the best 3d creation software ive used in VR

Great Gamein all honestly they have just improved on what lacked in the first game which is all good in my opinion, Really opens up after like 4 or 5 hour into the story or.... Act 2, which im in awe over. Alot of people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about Microtransactions and all i can say to them... is bite me, they dont even impact the game that much, just dont buy them, the loot crates can be bought with ingame currency just to shorten the tedium of killing captains... Smhh thats part of the fun of the whole game, And people are complaining that they reused alot animation from SoM well that is true and well all i can say to that is Shadow of Mordor nailed the battle mechanics too a tee and as the saying goes if it aint broken dont fix it, what they have done instead is focus their time on alot more playable spaces even in the first 4 hours of the game you get an overwhelming sense of the playfield being that much more massive then the first theres like 5 regions to explore where as the first one had only 2 smallish fields. And as for the nemisis system... people saying that the system is jsut the same as the first are seriosuly mistaken of just havnt played that much of the game to relise the difference.

Absolutle Amazing Classic of an RTS, all they needed to do to aquire more currency was make DOW3 exactly like this but modern mechanics and graphics and it would sell Millions nope they decide to make a crappy little MOBA instead, such a bloody shame... if you want an amazing experiance that makes the original a million percent better then it already is go download the Ultimate Apocolypse Mod for DOW soulstorm you will not be dissapointed. I'd actually go as far to say dont bother with the new one just play this instead.

Early Access Review
i must say. as a disclaimer i enjoy Ark: Survival Evolved alot and if i could this review would be neutral rather then negitive, it is a good game with alot going for it, i just however wish the developers cared as much about their fanbase rather then a potential money pot they have before them. Possibly 8 months ago to a year i would have given this game a very positive review as it looked like the devs cared a great deal about the game and their fans. my anger came when they decided to slow down on updating their base game to bring out a naff expantion for like £20.

before i go any further id like to say also I have a Bsc Games Design Degree although ive not made a name for myself i know the workflow process of constructing a game like this and i would have thought it was obvious to finnish what they started before trying a risky move making something that might not be well received for what i can only imagin is a way for them to make more money $$$.

now skipping ahead to present day we have ARK still in Early access which isnt a problem in and of itself, they are clearly still adding mechanics and items, dinos ect. to the game which is good the base game was great a year ago adding more of that is just more goodness and it makes everyone happy.

now i get onto the community content via steam workshop it is possible for people to make some cool content for the game themselves and others like myself or yourself whoevers reading this can add loads of mental content to your game the best one by far which is what everyone has been talking about for the past few months is Ragnarok, now i think its fair to say to David Miller, Matt Janz and Jackson Lawrence Well Done, Good Flipping Job you deserve some money from Wildcard for potentially saving their game... im only sorry Wildcard had to go and ruin it further.

For those of you that dont know Ragnarok is a community map that somewhat resembles the map from the DLC scorched earth some would even say it looks better then scorched earth however of course it doesnt cost £15 any sensible person would download that map rather then buy the DLC it must be noted that scorched earth added dragons and wyverns also which can be tamed and flown respectfully. Wildcard the stuido responsible for ARK did not anticipate that for some reason consummers wouldnt want to pay more money for something they didnt know they wanted and that the changes could be easily transfered back to the base game via a community based mod in the end we have a Scorched Earth replica with dragons and all that was made by the community

when the game arrived in early access 2 or so years ago roughly the game was priced at £23.99 a pretty fair price for a complete game a bit pricey for early access but we didnt care cos it was a good game, then they added the DLC which cost another £15 which upset alot of people, and now Wildcard has added Ragnarok to the base game for free and announced the date of release..... Although it isnt free is it because now the game costs a "what-the-hell-were-they-thinking-price" of £49.99 holy heck what have they done, and suddenly this is where my review becomes full circle and it leads straight back to my starting statement about the money pot and all they can see is big fatt dollar signs. Sad Really. although you get the added bonus of getting ARK: Survival of the fittest a PVP based gamemode included in that price for the past year has been free anyway to say that it is suddenly worth £25 is insulting to thoes of us that have played it.

i'll end my rant on a positive note and say if you managed to finish reading this and you can afford to pay... scrap that if you can justify paying that much for a game then absolutly do it, its an enjoyable game to play with your friends and will serve you many hours playtime i personally couldnt justify paying that much for it and can rapidly see that price dropping in the future as at that price is easily the most expensive game i have ever known on steam.

People are jumping onto a certain type of band wagon and i dont like it, No Man Sky is a Good game for the most part, ive not seen any of this framerate lag everyones been complaining at, sure there was a bit when i jumped into the game but i looked past it because im sure it was the game is just trying to render everything... the sparcity of planet variation is something ive noticed jumping to different system it did feel like the same set of planets with different colours and a few different species but that alone isnt enough to call it a bad game. For the most part it is a Fun Exploration game, not to mention it was made by 15 guys ¬_¬ people comeone give them a break worse games out there had alot more then 15 people working on them.

Theres still alot of room for improvement, throughout the hype of the game in its early days i saw loads of different planets and thought there must be an earth like planet, sitting in the Goldielocks zone one thats not all red and full of alien life. This is just me be i assumed i was a human in the game, so where the hell is my planet with my spieces on, also variation of planets is necesarry to make this sort of thing work, i really want to see Saturn or some kind of planet ive never seen before but is logically possible to exist, Floating islands all over the place on a planet is not what i would call relistic in any case.

regardless of my gripes i will keep playing just for the possibility of seeing something that i didnt expect to see, althought having played for 3 or 4 hours already my chances are bleak.

Well, Well, Well. Gemcraft you have become an Executable, and a £4.99 executable at that, which for many of the series followers is a giant betrayal, i am a game designer with a degree in Games Design so i can understand why they made it a pay only game unlike all 4 or 5 previous gemcraft games which By the way if im doing a review im going to be brutally honest.

Gameplay - well rest assured this game lives up to the previous Gemcraft games being the next in the series with the story following the same format as the previous games, the evil darkness is trying to get hold of your spirit forge and you need to stop her (i say her, because it clearly states the "Evil shadows" are female [possible spoiler]).

game play is very similar to the other games however the biggest difference is there are now 2 new gems, the Black and the White, although the previous games didnt have these gem colours their effects were in the games, if i can remember correctly the Black gem is what the Red gem used to be it will get more powerfull the more it hits an enemy, and the white Gem gets more powerfull the more you upgrade your manapool. i will say that the previous gemcraft game gemcraft the labrinth was amazing, and if "game in a bottle" make a new game similar and make it cost £4.99 then it should damn well succeed where the others didnt, the map should be 2 or 3 times bigger with more to do on each level.
although there is alot to do in each level theres not as many levels or at least it doesnt feel as if there is. The world map is a grid sytem each tile on the grid is a letter of the alphabet with probably 4 maybe 5 levels in each tile, so there are a lot of levels which is good :) but... for a game that used to be a flash game on the internet i was expecting alot more from an executable that now costs £4.99.

All in all Still the best Tower Deffence Game out there im just dissapointed that there wasnt more new content that the other free games already did.

Verdict - The game is still very good and i still play it even though ive completed all levels, if you cant bring yourself to pay for the game my advice is go online and play gemcraft: Labrinth for free then if you like that one finish it and buy this new one. it is still worth it, and you never know they might rectify the price sometime down the line :)
