It is cool, better than Diablo. Campaign was fun and very challenging when I didn't know what I was doing with my build. I got to the end game, did some maps, and then realized I lose XP when I die. That mechanic instantly killed all fun I was having, as I like to zerg rush stuff with no care for my life. I read that XP loss in the higher levels becomes very punishing, like hours of progress erased by a death. I play games to watch pixel numbers go up, not down. I just quit the game, probably for good. It was a fun grind, I guess.

The economy is kinda cool, I was planning on doing some currency arbitrage and market making for fun. But after playing the endgame, I realize this isn't the game for me. I prefer something like Runescape, where progress only goes forward and I can just mindlessly grind things without losing meaningful progress.

It is pretty good, LOTS of content. It took me 85 hours to run through nearly all the side content I could, even with 3rd party cheats. Once started, I could not stop playing (I just stayed up until dawn to finish the game!).

I'm a completionist and a perfectionist, which did get in the way of my enjoyment at times. I felt the need to reload saves and tread carefully to make sure I could carefully craft my journey in the way I wanted it. In the end, I am only moderately satisfied by the endings that I made available to myself.

I think many people will find this to be a very satisfying game. There is just something addicting about big numbers going up.

Halo

Good story, an experience that makes you question life. Play through "endings" A and B (which is not entirely repetative, don't worry). Then continue to C/D and the true ending E (after the 5th time the credits roll, [hack the credits]). Each time you think the game is ending, continue. It is worth it, and required to understand the full depth of the story. Ending Y might be worth doing if you have completed Nier Gestalt/Replicant.

Solid launch, classic Halo. I do wonder what the timeline is on releasing the other MCC games. I want to finish off those achievements!
