How can a match-three game be this fun? It's a casual game experience, but somehow these guys did everything right to make it a daily event for us. There's a story to the levels - most of which is hilarious - and it skips all the things we hate about mobile games. There's no "energy gate," so you can play as much as you like. It's not "pay to win" or even "pay to play," but the in-app purchase options are often compelling enough for convenience' (or vanity's) sake that you don't mind throwing a few dollars at their flash sales or upgrading a sweet troop.

One of the best parts is probably the Guild dynamics. There are weekly guild events, including monthly PvP Guild Wars, and lots of excellent benefits to being in an active guild, like keys and souls to level and improve your troops - and a very nice chat interface with the most recent update that gives you lots of personalization options.

Lastly, I love that you can play the same game on multiple platforms. I run in on the PC and on my iOS device, plus I've got it on my Kindle Fire as well - and it's all the same troops, interface, everything. That's some serious forethought, and I deeply appreciate it.
