Yes, I am indeed aware of the joke and the meme (look it up, it's hilarious). I edit transcripts
at a law firm by day. By night I read a lot (I have a personal library of over 1,000 books, comics, graphic novels, and screenplays) and plug away at my own works-in-progress.

I am a zero-tolerance/soft-hearted Xennial. What the hell does that mean? It means I have
a crazy high level of discernment: if you're a good person, you'll get the soft-hearted version
of me. If you're a trash human, you'll get the other part.

I've been building my own machines since 1999. I built my current one back in 2017:

GPU: GeForce GTX 1080
CPU: Core i7-7700k 4.20 Ghz
Motherboard: MSI Z270-A PRO MS-7a71
Case: Fractal Design Define R6 in white, no glass.
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB Series 16GB DDR4-3000MHz

And I still use it to play the latest titles, because I use GeForce Now Ultimate. Saves me a
hell of a lot of money in the long run. Also, my machine stays quiet as a mouse, every game
runs tip-top without tinkering, I don't have to manage hard drive space, and it looks flawless,
with crazy low latency that still allows me to dominate in competitive FPS.

It's that good. I ain't going back from this.

GPU prices are egregious. Developers don't optimize their games anymore. And great (not merely
good) games are a rarity. So this is how I game from now on. No more hardware tinkering and
breaking the bank. When the industry shows me it respects my time and money again, maybe I'll
go back to the more hands-on approach. But I'm thinking those days are over.

I do plan to get back into Nintendo consoles, though, because I'm of the opinion they're the last company in gaming to still respect people's time and money by releasing quality games and hardware. I started on the NES, so I guess I've come full circle.

You can always count on the Japanese to prioritize pride and integrity. The Americans start out fine, but before long they always prioritize greed.
