Undoubtedly the most polished early access game I've played thus far.

The Long Dark is great fun to play in its current state (and pretty challenging too), and it seems that the game is only going to get better as it moves through alpha and beta.

I've been impressed with the developers and the quality of their updates to the game, as well as the speed of hot fixes when bugs/balance issues have popped up.

It also runs very well on my computer, whereas similar games such as Rust, The Forest etc run like garbage.

Overall, a very pretty, atmospheric, well-optimized, slick and, most importantly, enjoyable game that is well worth the purchase.
