In an effort to combat my backlog, I've decided to try and play every game I own on steam, in alphabetical order for at least 30 minutes, and then give my first impressions. This is game #8.

This is a 2D Platformer that's very well designed. With tight controls, cute graphics, and silly, meta humour. But the thing is, that describes a lot of games. This game just feels pretty run of the mill. It doesn't do anything to stand out in a sea of other games. It's certainly not a bad game, it just feels like I've seen this so many times.

I've never heard of this game before now, and that baffles me. While not my cup of tea, I can't express enough the freedom this game offers you to make your own story. And for a game from 1994, no less. This must have been groundbreaking for its time. Highly recommend if you're a D&D fan.

In an effort to make Ace Combat more edgy and cinematic in order to appeal to a different fanbase, they forgot the gameplay. This "game" is like an interactive Top Gun. That is, if Top Gun had zero of it's endearing qualities.
There is no reason to play this when Ace Combat 7 exists.

Any Rhythm game that includes the absolute banger that is Hypa Hypa by Eskimo Electric Callboy is automatically the greatest Rhythm game to ever exist.

This game is just a lesser Hollow Knight in every sense of the word. Won't wow anyone, but might be a good way to kill the itch while waiting for Silksong.

This game seems incredibly promising. A bit buggy, but it has a lot of great qualities and aspects to it. Will definitely be jumping into this with friends at some point.

This game (or what's out at the time of writing, anyway) is only about an hour long, but it's one of the most enjoyable hours I've spent in a long time. It's an incredible love letter to the old arcades, with multiple amazing byte sized games within. The story is also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ phenomenal.

I'm three games into this project, and I've already found a special gem that makes me incredibly happy I did this.
