Octopath traveler is one of the best ongoing JRPG franchise.
Very fun turn based combat and this game have the most dark story among octopath games albeit very long, I've played the gacha mobile version so I know how long the story is but at the time of writing this review I'm only 68 hours in and I only get to about halfway of the story because I did all the side content and a bit of grinding too,

I just wanna say if you love RPG just play this game, it great but please note that trails is a long running series and story wise this remake is the first game in the series.

At first I was playing this game casually and quite enjoy the story not to mentioned there are cute girls but after trying to go into meta discussion this game kinda encourages you to whale, that alone is enough for me to drop this game. There's costume gacha too in the future, while the costume looks very nice it's not worth it when I can just drop same amount of money to get a great full game that's not riddled with microtransaction and gacha.

I'm just happy that we got another FF on PC, runs pretty well on my 4060 laptop.

Game runs pretty well in my laptop with rtx 3050.
Story is the weakest part of this game but it's still serviceable with some epic moment. Please do note even after getting the credit the game isn't finished, after you finished the main story it's where the main part of the game started and this endgame part is very fun albeit requires you to grind like monster hunter style.

Combat is the strongest part of the game, it's very fun, fluid with good co op system but even those who don't want to play co op can play solo with AI controlled party but you will have to grind a lot more. There a lot of character and each of them have their own gameplay.
If you want to max all character I can see this game easily can clock up to 100 hours, even more if you're not using efficient grind method.
