I enjoy the diversity of worlds and the sandbox nature of all the adventures you can have. There are no rules - just do whatever you want, explore, build, fight. It's all possible, and it's all happening in the context of a space adventure which is the best kind of adventure there is.

Early Access Review
I was really excited about this game. I love Rust and Minecraft, and this game has dinosaurs that you can ride, player tribes, a way better crafting system than Rust, and other great features. I'd read the complaints about performance, but my curiosity was too great and I had to cave and pick it up while it was on sale.

Anyway, I've played about ten minutes, and in that ten minutes I can safely say that the performance is just as poor as many people are complaining. I can only get higher than 24fps when I change the graphics quality and resolution scaling to their lowest settings, and even then I only top out at about 40fps. I have an i7 processor, an SSD, and a GTX 960. It isn't the beefiest graphics card out there, but it's definitely not outdated. The game looks just horrible on the lowest graphics settings. The lines are blurry and the resolution is garbage. I shouldn't have to run a game at its lowest settings to get a semi-acceptable framerate when my system is more than capable of smoothly running similar games with high resolution and textures. While medium-quality settings will give me 15-24 fps, that sort of framerate is too low for me to enjoy.

So I am thinking about returning it but part of me wants to hang onto it to see if they can fix these issues. I've heard the development team is really active, pushing out patches every day, and it might not be long before a fix comes out. Anyway, I will give it a week, and if there's no improvement in performance, I will return the game. I don't recommend it in its current state.
