It's not a shooter.
It will never will be.
But, hovver dam, is this a good game. With this little development, and little time, Obsidian kicked some serious @$$ (Gonna be child friendly) with this. Would suggest if your new to the Fallout community, or you just finished 1, 2 or 3.

And it doesnt crash a bunch like Fallout 3.

Play New Vegas or 3 first, have alot of ram, Play a shooter or two to get some practice in, have ALOT of money, and dont buy the DLC's, and you're set. It's no 3 or NV, but it a good game when you're board, and the graphics are nice. Speech (again) is worse, but the shooting is better, and leveing-up and perks are better, and more simple. Oh, and, if you don't have a shooter to practice with, just download TF2 for free.
