Another overpriced, buggy Activision game. I knew going in this game would be single-player only, which I didn't mind. I didn't pay full price either. However, when you look at how much the game currently costs, seven years after it was launched, and all the DLC it has (over 200 dollars worth), it makes me question why the game is so buggy. Whether trying to use a remote sniper and not having the key work even though you bound one to it or falling off the trailer at the end of mission 13 for the 50th time, only for it to be fine when you restart, I feel entirely unsatisfied considering how expensive it is. Activision now holds the proverbial crown for greediness in the game industry, even after all the debacles from EA. Do not buy this game; it isn't worth more than 10 dollars, and even then, it is a buggy mess.

I really want to like this game. It constantly crashes; I have played Black Ops 1/2/3, Ghosts, MW/2/RM etc. None of them have crashed as many times as this one. For the price one is asked to pay for this game, years after release, I would expect at least smooth gameplay without issues. It seems that it is even too much to ask. I like the campaign and found it fun, but after you have to repeat a checkpoint 10+ times, it really isn't. Even running the game in safe mode doesn't help; it feels like you get ripped off at current prices. I wouldn't pay more than 10 dollars for this, as half the time would be spent reloading and restarting. Also, Multiplayer is dead, but I came in expecting that. I can't recommend buying in its current state, especially at the current price point.

Having played command and conquer for endless hours growing up and into adulthood I can say that this game evokes many memories for me. It is a full remaster, with everything that I never had a chance to play prior, grabbing all the additional missions from console to add to the mix. The new and remastered music is a treasure as well. Most of the poor reviews seem to be mad about bugs (which are common when any game launches) and people who do not understand what a remaster is vs a remake, which this is not. If you liked the original games, have been a command and conquer fan, this is an excellent steal for the 30 dollars or so you would have to pay. Considering how EA killed the C&C franchise I am glad they recreated the original so faithfully and hope sincerely they will consider doing Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 in the future. Well worth your time for any RTS fan.

Battletech is a game that I recommend to people who like table top/strategy games. It is one of the best ones to come out in recent memory in my opinion. The developers seem to have ironed out most of the bugs since launch, so I can give this a good rating. If you like strategy with a bit of RPG elements, infinite choice in play style or just giant robots and sci-fi in a semi-dystopian future, I say to give it a try. The first two DLCs I strongly suggest to get on sale, but the last one is definitely worth full price. I hope HBS continues to offer future expansions for this game. Also note, the modding community for this game is unusually good to to its large fanbase from the tabletop days. With the new modloader, once fixed, the future looks even brighter.
