The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which relatively unskilled persons suffer illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their ability to be much higher than it really is. Dunning and Kruger attributed this bias to a meta cognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their own ineptitude and evaluate their own ability accurately. Their research also suggests corollaries: highly skilled individuals may underestimate their relative competence and may erroneously assume that tasks which are easy for them are also easy for others.

No please don't block me! I know we had our differences and all, but this can't be how it ends. What I said is my own opinion, based on many years of experience, yours is just wrong. Nonetheless, there's just no reason to break contact with me. You know I'm a nice person, think about all the good stuff we went through. Don't block me a third time, I beg you, I will change, I promise. You know I will. Do you really want to lose such a close friend? Yeah, didn't think so. But you know what? I actually don't care anymore. If you want to block me, block me. I will block you too and deny you any further contact with me. How's that? How does it feel to be on the other side? We don't have to do this, you know that. Promise me you don't threaten me with blocking me ever again and I will forgive you.
