The pinnacle of a redemption arc for a game. You can tell the developers love it.

It is a very fun game, and I have a good time playing it. A little tough at the beginning, but it makes sense when you think about why. Give it a try, there is so much you can do in it either solo or with others.

I figured by my playtime it was time to put in another review.

If you are looking for a game to sink countless hours in and love colony survival/basebuilding/storybuilding games, this is the one. The base game (plus Royalty) alone are enough to give you hundreds of hours, but the real kicker is the modding community. Modding has been supported by Tynan for a while now and there are so many amazing mods being released even now.
You could play vanilla and it will still be the insanely fun, sometimes cannibalistic game we all enjoyed at the start.

Then once you do that.. There is a mod for nearly everything;
Want to introduce magic and fighting classes to make combat even more interesting? Rimworld of Magic (with possible addons) has you covered.

Want to make a robot/android army so you don't lose your precious colonists? Android tiers and the upcoming Synthetic Androids will let you. You can even let your colonists control said androids as pawns later on.

Want to stick as close to the vanilla experience as possible? Vanilla Expanded has a HUGE array of mods and are still actively making more.

Don't want the game to end once you send your ship to space? Save our Ship 2 lets you continue *in space* and even land on a brand new planet!

You've got more bionics, turrets, animals, power generation (through oil, gas, nuclear power, or by putting things in biotubes), ships to travel back and forth across the map, and of course... war crimes.

This game will give you limitless hours.

Fantastic, you never expect how much one thing can change the entire plot of the story until it happens!
