I really want to like this game but...
It has the most toxic community in any game I have ever played and that's whats killing it.

- there really needs to be a penalty for too much TK or teamattack, it's missing which brings me to the next point
- one accidental teamattack triggers most teammates to go full rage mode and kill you. Compare that to insurgency, where everyone is just like "meh it's fine"
- there are too many youtuber loving children, that copy their trolling cause they think that makes them just as funny
- too many trolls
- when you go onto a catapult or a ballista teammates are always going to attack or kill you, on their way to the objective. Even if you do a good job for the team. Don't put those damn catapults into the pathway of spawned teammates
- when teammates kill a rider on a horse they are in rage mode and keep attacking the horse so that the horse respawns AT THE ENEMIES BASE. Just think ppl, really? You hate the horses so bad that when you finally kill one of those tanks you give it right back to them...
- troll weapons, like lutes (we get it now instruments are so funny in these games" or traps

I know a quick fix for toxicity! INTRODUCE A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PUNISHMENT SYSTEM FOR TEAMATTACK! I don't mean a dumb one that goes after health and stuff but one that for example checks if the teamkills occur in regular intervals, so that someone doesnt get kicked instantly when he kills 3 ppl at once.
Yes we get it you want it to be realistic, but theres nothing really realistic about this game, take combat for example.
COMBAT NEVER GETS UPDATES even though its broken as hell.

- The horse is a tank, Fix this with a longer regeneration delay for riders. at least they fixed the hitboxes about half a year after release
- theres no head hitbox on the horses they just tank everything
- dont give one hit abilities to riders
- why is a dagger as slow at stabbing as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pike or a spear?
- how can you stab people with a spear when they stand about 1cm away from you, this doesnt make any sense
- why would smaller weapons be as slow as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ warhammer? I get the balancing issue but wouldn't it make more sense to give the dagger less blacking ability but therefor make it faster?
- somethings wrong with the netcode cause sometimes ppl swing so fast that you get beheaded instantly
- the 80 men server just don't work, they are even less full than the smaller once
- Map balancing is terrible, most of the time it's the same side that wins depending on the map
- updates are nearly non existent, if there's an update they just add a little bit of stuff that's broken. They could maybe... fix stuff from time to time, or change stuff?

Theres much more that's wrong with this game, this is not all.

All of this makes me think that the devs don't even play their own game, cause they'd see all those flaws after a few hours of playing.
The scarcity of updates for this game makes it seem like more and more of a cash grab copy of chivalry.
I hope the fact that chivalry 2 will be released on epic prevents the trolls from buying it. I really wish back the Chivalry 1 and chivalry mod days. The community wasn't so toxic back then.

played this in beta too and had a lot of fun but with the price I was thinking about not buying it. But it anyway and regret nothing! Tons of fun, proximity voice chat with the radio makes this so much more amazing. For me its on par with dont starve together as best 2d Game.

Better than I ever imagined, VR makes it so much better too. I wish my brother was still here to play it, he gave me HL1 and later HL2. One year too late, but at least it got released. I hope the sales cause of corona won´t influence the decision to release another part.

One of the best story games ever! Nearly dethroned HL2 as my favourite game.

The console to pc port is worse than assassins creed 1! They didnt even bother to put in instructions in-game for the key bindings on the keyboard... also the actions seem delayed. If you don´t have a controller do not buy this game. Playing this without a controller gave me cancer. It shouldn´t say full controller support in the description, it should say controller support only!


Could have been better graphics than 7 year old ps3 graphics.

I had high hopes for this game! Years ago I wanted a game just like the concept explained this one... I searched forums and even modded garrrys mods early darkrp trying to create something like this. Then finally the dayz mod surfaced and it was fun, it was incredible but over the years everything got worse and worse just like cancer. When the Standalone was being developed it was clear that it would be bugged in the beginning but the developement never progressed. Even worse, after the developement of the standalone declined the mod got worse too...


Even WarZ had more developement than this game. The developers were not fit for a job like this. There was no progress while Dean Hall was leading the project and even now there is no developement. It already feels like the project has been abandoned.


3 Years of Alpha.
There have been many early access games over the past few years and most of them already made it to a finished product. But not this game, this game has even developed worse than back when it started. Nearly nothing has been done to improve the engine...

and other serious performance issues

these problems are on everyones pc! Expensive pc or not, this game is not playable.
Everytime I try to play this game I feel like my computer is going through chemotherapy, everything lags my computer heats up and the delay in the controls is not bearable. I feel like I´m raping my keyboard by trying to use the hotkeys and the v button to jump over things.

No server can handle the game with more than 3 or 4 people on it. The Servers are lagging and players are desyncing every 5 seconds and you can´t even pick up items for a long time.


The game is called DayZ
This bugs me the most ^ The Z... there are only about 3 Zombies in each city and they are, as everything else, bugged.
You can´t be stealthy like it was in the mod, the zombies dont have a real detection system anymore. Either you get closer to them than 10 meters and they realise you are there or you shoot so that they may react. Your stance doesnt matter anymore crouching, crawling nothing makes a difference to the detection system anymore.



Minor bugs that can´t be explained:

• random unconsciousness
  
• random vomiting after joining a server
  
• broken ancles, legs arms after joining a server
  
• not being able to move through doors with broken legs
  
• zombies running through closed doors and bugging through floors/stairs
  
• the need to eat and drink every 2 minutes
  
• terrible community (it is not possible to have contact to any player, they are going to say that they are friendly and then shoot you anyway)
  
• loot spawns in in buildings where it just shouldnt be like lots of AKs in bathrooms or 50 jackets in one tiny shed

I really can´t understand why this game has this many positive reviews but it seems like the people are starting to get that this game was a huge failure because the reviews are starting to get worse.
I just feel terrible knowing that they got 3million people to pay for this kind of crap.
