A great grand strategy game, with character driven gameplay. Over a decade of DLC for a mountain of content, and a lot of vanilla friendly and overhaul mods.

The only negative is the price, try the monthly subscription to get all the DLC to see if you enjoy the game and if you do see if you can get the DLC in a steam sale. A lot of the DLC are non-essential, so I would read the reviews of each DLC to see which one to prioritize in getting. I bought the DLC a few at a time over some years.

Early Access Review
It's a better Warband, with crashes and balancing issues to be ironed out (which is why I think they released it as an early access game even after 8 years of development). There are new quests, new family mechanics, new siege mechanics, higher battle sizes, better combat AI and better graphics.

You can enjoy it as it is, but you might lose save files to corruption (my first save) and some games might end up in the AI snowballing (my second save). If you aren't a diehard Warband fan, I would recommend waiting for it to release fully or at least wait a month for the game breaking issues to be handled.

I've heard people complain about the online games being a downgrade from Warband. I never played much online in the previous game and haven't in this game so I have no idea if that is true.

Solid open world adventure simulator, the game doesn't hold your hand at all. The combat is a little janky and the game has some rough edges overall, but if you can look past that you will have a great time. A little pricey though, double A games sell for 40€ sometimes, this had 10 devs if I'm not wrong.

Downscaled textures, horrible performance even on high end computers, connection problems. If you have a computer that can run it, and have some friends with who you will have the patience to try and get the online working, then this is an excellent game.

It's a good game, but has some serious problems.

As a game it's good. Combat feels good, classes are interesting, guild wars and bosses are fun and it looks beautiful. Now the reason for the low reviews is that it is managed so badly:

1. The clear balance issues on classes makes the combat unfair (anything past peltasta C1 in swordman tree doesn't matter. the whole class tree is a glorified aggroer/tank).
2. The game doesn't work with many people at the same time which makes guild wars and world bosses a slideshow.
3. And lastly the bot prevention: doesn't seem to prevent it at all, but makes trading with other people a chore.

Now despite this all, I still enjoy it. It's more of a good beta game, rather than a finished product and I'm fine with that. If you are too then I recommend the game to you, otherwise don't bother.

Great action RPG with an interesting open world. Story and graphics are pretty mediocre, but the gameplay and awesome soundtrack more than makes up for it. The pawn system is interesting and pretty indepth.
Running smoothly compared to the console version, the frame cap being at over 150 fps. Also unfortunately the japanese VA couldn't be included for legal reasons, hoping for some modders to fix that.

EDIT: There is now a mod that enables you to have the Japanese audio. http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/108/?

It's a good game, it run's like ♥♥♥♥ on PC though. 20% of the game the framerate goes lower than 10. Other times it runs just fine, but on some parts of the game it's unplayable.

Does not work on Windows 10 at all. Even all of the fixes that helped in Windows 7 are useless. Not worth to buy before a fix is made.

It's fun and competetive. For a free game it's pretty good, though if you want to trade items at all (half the fun), you will need a premium account.
