I am astonished by the potential and the wide range of playstyle choices. The combination of cards and artifacts make almost every run of mine unique and fun. I have to admit that some cards of the game are (note that this is an EA review) not balanced well enough, but I see efforts by the dev team almost every month. I really enjoyed the process of discussing strategy with my friends, it is a very unique experience and we talked literally a lot. Thanks for the excellent game!

I played shapez 1, and initially, I was skeptical about transitioning the gameplay to 3D. However, after spending time with shapez 2, my doubts have completely disappeared.

shapez 2 is, without a doubt, one of the most captivating games I’ve ever played within the automation genre. It retains all the core mechanics you'd expect from a well-designed automation game, while stripping away any unnecessary complexities that could hinder progress. The game allows you to design, evolve, implement, and upgrade your factories in a modular fashion. Compared to its predecessor, shapez 2 introduces a beautifully streamlined system that transforms factory building into a creative process of reusing and optimizing previous layouts. This encourages players to refine individual modules and combine them into more efficient designs, all built from components they’ve crafted themselves.

The developers also support a thriving community with an innovative online blueprint-sharing feature, which even lets users render their creations in 3D directly from a web browser. I’ve never encountered an automation game with such a rewarding feedback loop before. Shapez 2 is a must-try for any fan of its genre.
