A solidly-executed strategy RPG. Very reminiscent of Ogre Battle, but also gives me vibes of Gemfire (SNES).

Short and sweet.

The puzzles are engaging and varied, with a new mechanic and layer of complexity introduced just when the last begins to feel a little stale.

The game also manages -- with just music, a narrator, and simple geometry -- to present interesting characters and tell a tale of adventure, hope, friendship, and loss.

A cute little game reminiscent of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, with just a splash of a souls-like.

The controls are fairly tight. Platforming is mostly fine, with a few moments of aggressively sticking to walls or the camera being a pain. Most of the areas are fairly forgiving in this regard, but it can be a little frustrating in the void challenges.

Combat is simple, but satisfying.

The game is fairly short, with 100% completion in ~13 hours. It probably would have been less but I chose to backtrack a bit earlier and more often than was necessary.
