Fun little time management game, recommended as something in between serious titles since it doesn't take too long to complete

IOI just gained a lot of goodwil, I haven't played any of the hitman 2 maps yet so this review isn't about hitman 2 but rather it's bonus content the remastered maps of hitman 1.

I never purchased hitman 2 so I was surpised to find out that after downloading the hitman 2 demo/first map you automatically gain access to the first game's maps assuming you own the first game, this is not only unexpected but also goes against what the majority of the industry does and shows IOI (which I've had some gripes with in the past regarding how they monitize their content) doesn't shy away from trying new things and does actively try to keeps it's long time players engaged in the franchise.

Free LL's are always welcome, only downside is that there aren't any lord specific units included like they did with the High Elves FLC.

One of the - if not the most enjoyable detective game I've ever played, knowing that there will never be a (real) sequel is quite depressing.

This game is a prime example of why you shouldn't buy games that are in early access or are leaving it without being finished.
I've been keeping an eye on this game for about 4.5 years, in that time they delivered 2 episodes (which serve as a tutorial, so the "real" chapters have yet to be released) which led them to leaving early access in august 2017 which is when I purchased the game, since then the promised 3 remaining chapters have yet to be released, the release date keeps being pushed back (i'm sure they have their reasons, it's just that from a consumers perspective I don't care i just want a finished product) and at this point there is little to no reason for me to ever bother touching it again even if they even bother to finish it.

As it stands it's a fun game for a few hours in sandbox, but after a short while you'll start to notice how static and devoid of life the world is, with only a couple of items and a handful of different animals there isn't much to do besides scavenge a few places, build a huge lootpile in 1 location and move on to the next map where you'll do exactly the same with nothing new nor any story to mask the lack of content.

Adds decent units, shame 80% of what's added is bugged to the point that they're either not viable in the late game or just flat out broken.

When this DLC first came out it was a joke, the DLC itself felt like it was shoehorned in at the last moment and lacked critical features that would enable you to play as chaos should be played not to mention that it was day 1 DLC, hence the mixed rating it currently has.

But i'm here to tell you guys that you can ignore most other reviews!
the game has been updated, chaos has been overhauled finally making chaos an enjoyable faction to play, and unlike other DLC this faction isn't overpriced and is regularly available for half it's price.

A few things that have made chaos more enjoyable for the people that heard bad stuff about the dlc in the past:

Horde growth can be increased; no longer are you constantly running from the enemy in fear that your horde will be destroyed in 1 bad move, hordes can build up fast enough to counter other faction elite units without constantly waiting for your horde to be large enough.

Hordes can become almost fully self sufficient, for example my current main stack consists exclusively on elite units on legendary yet my upkeep for that horde in about 600, so with the 2500 base income you could have 4 hordes all elites without going in the red.

Legendary Lords have gotten some new skills in their respective skill trees, giving them a bit more flavour and allowing you to do themed armies without suffering from lack of skill buffs from lords in the late game.

All Northern factions will submit to chaos if you defeat their faction leader, so for instance if Norsca holds 10 provinces and you beat Wulfric their faction leader then you can offer to vassalize them which they'll always accept, on top of that they're paying tribute each turn now, something that wasn't the case before the overhaul.
(IMO by far the best improvement, in the past the factions would just constantly go to war with eachother either dragging you in or forcing you to raze the north, now you can truly unite them and use them as the vanguard for the chaos invasion)

Awakened tribes become vassals instead of allies now, which means that they won't act on their own anymore and now actually do your bidding, another big change that really changes up how the game plays.

|All in all this faction is definitly worth it's money in it's current state, most problems have been solved and the base game itself is also top notch after it's latest patch, I honestly can't find anything negative to say about this particular dlc.

Despite ignoring the title for about a year I grabbed it from humblebundle after having the game recommended to me and I've never been so wrong, excellent game albeit a bit dumbed down compared to the historic titles but the unit variation more than makes up for that.

It's pretty fast paced, beaitiful campaign map that changes depending on ownership (for ex. as the vampires all your lands slowly turn into dark dead landscapes) and each faction really has it's own unique way of playing.
Since the game has been finalized in it's foundation update which added a ton of QoL changes and the Norsca faction I highy recommend this title to both TW fans and Warhammer fans.

The only way to purchase the story DLC for hitman (Patient Zero) is to buy it in a bundle which charges $10 for the story DLC and $13 just for just a few lousy completely optional outfits, tie-in sales are illegal where i live yet IOI clearly doesn't seem to care.

The game has improved a lot since release, and assuming this trend continues it will be an excellent product once it's in it's final build.
