Early Access Review
BattleBit is more of a Battlefield game than the Battlefield series itself, featuring everything 2042 has left out.

My favourite features:
- Levelling and upgrades
- Detailed stats
- Team voice comms, with optional death comms
- Game selection from smaller amounts of players to enormous
- The comical graphics contrast well to fairly serious gameplay (no minimap on screen, no auto health regen)
- A weapon upgrade system that actually tells you what each component does based on data, not just an ambiguous "improves aim" or "reduces recoil"

Don't buy this game. Prefer stepping in dog poop to this, please.

I can't recommend the game for any more than $30.

It's good looking, with the same engine and feel as GTAV. Similarly, it is filled with bugs that the creators appear to dismiss without resolution. You will come across many, many bugs. Googling these will show hundreds of pages, back to the initial console release in 2018. Well over a year later, few have been rectified, and many are game breaking.

Want to play online? Disconnections are regular. Not only will you lose progress as you can't rejoin your friends mission, if you were leader and need to become so again, it's likely your whole group will need to reconnect as they won't be able to leave their old group due to a bug. Imagine a similar circumstance, for virtually everything you try to do. Bug, bug, bug. Recent DLC and pay-to-progress options only highlight Rockstar's lust for money whilst leaving us with a poor quality product.

Standard R* console port. All menus are designed for console, with no attempt to make the UI friendly for PC. Button assignments feel randomly selected for different actions. Awkward weapon changes. Most keybinding is possible, however key clashes for actions at different times (a key being bound to a foot only function clashes with a horse key) make doing so needlessly difficult,
Prepare to be staring into the bottom right corner to work out what key you need to hit next, feeling more like a DDR title than RDR.
