Fun. Simple. Good Mods.

they bricked their game with the most recent update. oh well just get it on your phone if you really wanna try it out

Still feels a bit rough around the edges. Doesn't feel like it's much more than a balance your money simulator. Goals are hard to set for yourself.

You get the same blank canvas of land to work with as well as a limited number of ploppables so a creative design isn't interesting. It's as if there was an expectation that the workshop/mod community would pick this game up, but there's not much to go on there. The limited color palette and tile types just make it feel rough.

Also, the management aspect feels off. If I just stay profitable then it doesn't feel like there's much risk/reward with any choices.

Diagnosing can be fun, but then what's the point of the rest of the game.

When Civ 6 came out I would've instantly recommended it to anyone. However, as more and more patches have come out, many simple, day-one issues still remain. The most recent patch is one of the worst QC'd patches I've ever encountered, and it seems unlikely that the game will see any fixes til the next quarterly update. In this current age of games with clear dev communication, Firaxis has fallen behind and quarterly patches are only acceptable if the patches don't break many parts of the game and render mods completely unusable.

Until firaxis changes its approach, I would recommend avoiding this game for the time being. It went from my most frequently played game to another title collecting dust in my steam library with one patch and a lack of support.

Controls are clunky as hell. Getting your units to do what you want takes more time than it should.

Also own this game on PS4 with possibly more hours. This game will go down as an all-time classic.
