Old review: If you have a group of 3-4, it's more Deep Rock Galactic goodness

I went into this only off of SkillUp's recommendation on YouTube with no spoilers, and it has been the absolute best exploration game I've ever seen. This takes the cake over every waypoint on Skyrim's map. It is so engaging, relaxing, enjoyable, everything.

I would advise against reading anything about the story because you actively uncover the story yourself and reading about it takes away the gameplay of you discovering it.

Early Access Review
Gameplay: It follows the time-tested formula of base-building to improve the ability to adventure which improves base-building which improves adventure and so on. It nails that formula with an absolutely amazing sense of discovery (tip: don't look at the wiki, learn things for yourself). The difficulty is self-selecting depending on your area so the devs didn't have to pull their punches which means you can find as much and as little difficulty as you want.

Devs: Despite being in early-access, the devs are doing an admirable job meeting the demand of their unexpected success. They are proving a good drive with the limited resources they have.

If your PC can run this, it's one of the best RPG experiences of all time. The stories behind even the simple monsters are memorable and stick with you past your playtime. The worldbuilding is off the charts fantastic and the characters inhabiting the world are fully realized.

Other great things:
- The graphics are both beautiful and cinematic through smart stylized looks and incredibly detailed textures.
- Amount of content (there's almost too much in fact) leaves you wanting for nothing in exploration.

Things you might not like:
- Leveling can be too slow, or too fast, depending on how much side content you're doing.
- The "hook, investigate, fight" gameplay loop can become a little repetitive and predictable.
- Controls can be a little clunky as it tries to bridge the gap between PC and console.
- Death march is the most immersive difficulty and that can feel overwhelming for some.
