Wasn't expecting the game to be that good, nor to enjoy the music of a genre I don't usually listen to, yet here I am, adding a new band to playlist and deeply impressed by the game itself. The fact that it isn't just a set of visuals but a story with creative gameplay is mindblowing

The game is actually nice in some sense, and I feel sorry to not recommend it at a time. The issue is, I felt like I bought early access disguised as a full release.
The questionable controls on pc, reproducible bugs, unbalanced progression, unused content (full furniture sets with no purpose), lack of pretty obvious features like any kind of inventory sorting, or dismantling the items we don't need - all that creates the feeling the game is still actively in development. I also had plenty of black screens instead of cut scenes, still not sure if it's a bug or placeholders for the future content. And all this is the kind of thing I'd liked to be aware of BEFORE buying something.
So, while I enjoyed the game for what it could become, if I'd knew all this beforehand I wouldn't buy it right away

Now easily one of my favourite games!
The deciphering part is fascinating, I really appreciated all the ways the languages were introduced...okay, maybe the murals and monuments are a bit of a convention, but other times the notes and signs come very naturally, where and how actual people would use them, and everywhere you see a word, it is a word that you can actually read. I also loved how different languages work a bit differently, with different word order, use of function words, writing systems. It felt like different languages, not just cyphers.
The game allows you to make any guesses of the meanings, which is much more entertaining and challenging than picking one of predetermined options. But verifications occur at just the right time to let you relax a bit and to give proven context for the new words.
Beautiful locations, sound design, and compelling story. I was a bit confused by the final quest plotwise, but might have misread the dialogues and lost the clue. Also loved the inner stories on each level, but especially the alchemists' - it was staged just perfectly!
One thing the game lacks is a map - the levels are wild, and getting lost is just inevitable.
I'd said the game is too short, but its timing is on point, I just want more of it

Had a great time exploring the game world and solving the puzzles, which were just right amount of challenge for me. Had to stretch my wayfinding muscles really good. The story is, comparing to other games of the genre, pretty good: there's a lot of lore and the puzzles make sense in the world, not just aimlessly locking everything. Not saying it is extraordinary but enjoyable.
On the other hand, game has A LOT of things that could be improved.
The amount of backtracking was punishing, especially considering the loading time of the worlds. The maze puzzle had driven me crazy and not for a good reason.
The accessibility of the game could be improved: even as a person without neurological issues and with full vision and hearing, I had to
1)tinker the controls a lot to reduce terrible motion sickness and wasn't able to get rid of it completely;
2)google game notes in plain text because many of them are REALLY low contrast in addition to be made in all kinds of fonts, sometimes almost impossible to read;
3)rely completely on the subtitles to hear through the noise filters on the voice transmissions. It is of course valid from the lore standpoint but a bit of compromise would be nice.

Overall, I had fun but felt like I was robbed of a greater fun. I do recommend the game if you resistant to frustrating game design

1 - it's not a walking sim, it's a crawling sim
2 - it's just a bunch of empty stock houses, except for the one you're starting in. Even if interactible objects are too much to ask for this price, there could at least be decorations showing any signs of life in the village. All you get is walls and fences with no content inside
