Others been trying to compare this game to Harvest Moon. Mine is "Nope".
This game is WAY BETTER than any other farming game. Why? Stardew Valley is made very intuitively.

• In other farming games, you can accidentally screw up more with planting and stuff. Game is "Derp-proof" No more accidentally cutting your crops and stuff.
• As time goes by farming games can be boring. Stardew Valley has something more to offer from character relationships, to daily quests. There are so many Quest and Achievements that when you unlock them, it gives more convenience in gameplay.
• The game is highly customizable. Character Creation, structure placement, you name it.

Playing this game will totally make you spend hours and hours of gameplay like farming in real life, minus the farming benefits.
