Like playing skyrim for the first time. 100% recommend

Do you like sleep? If yes, don't play this. Bethesda knocked it out of the park. First few hours were slow, but it picks up dramatically afterwards. It keeps getting better and better.

These two quotes I've seen floating around perfectly sum up the game. "The more you give to Starfield the more it gives back" and "This is a Bethesda game set in space,and not a space simulation game".

I can't recommend this game anymore in the current state. With the latest gun additions, they're encouraging some of the rattiest play styles with minimal or no counters to it. Do not recommend.

I wasn't expecting such a wonderful game. Highly recommend if you like roguelites. If you enjoyed hades, you'll love this game!

I never write reviews. But this game deserves it. I have a love/hate relationship with this game. This is a bastard child of dark souls and skyrim. I highly recommend if you like open world exploration and RPGs.

Pros:
-Boss fights are great and intense.
-Not your typical open world game. Open world exploration is awesome and tons of things to do and find.
-Minimal guidance on what to do after tutorial and no fetch quests that I've seen. Game just lets you do your thing.
-Everything can kill you no matter your level
-You die a lot
-Art style, architecture, and map design are amazing.
-Game lures you into an overconfident state and then kills you with a basic mob.
-Heavily skill based game. Can go into way more powerful areas to level up faster
-Character progression feels great.
-Multiplayer with friends is stupid fun.


Cons:
-Controls are clunky and take a bit getting used to. Can mitigate by rebinding keys. Makes it way more smoother. Who thought using shift for jump was a good idea instead of space bar?
-Everything can kill you no matter your level
-You die a lot
-Graphics are dated and remind me of early PS4 games. Could use some better grass/bushes and higher res textures. (Not a huge negative. Game is still beautiful in it's own sense of style)

-Multiplayer summoning is a bit clunky. Could use some QoL improvements with automated consuming of items instead of going through the process each time. Would be nice to enter dungeons with the current party instead of leaving/rejoining inside the dungeon. Just another waste of time. Multiplayer is really rough at early game but can be fixed with farming golden seeds.

Realistic Expectations:
-Stupid amount of fun exploring the game. I've done none of the main quests and am approaching level 50.
-Hard enemies feel so satisfying to kill after tough encounters.
-You will die so many times in a session that you will lose count. You only drop your runes on death. (Runes is like money, you buy stuff with it, and you upgrade your level with it)
-It's easy to earn runes so don't fret losing them if you die again before picking them up. However, I do not recommend hoarding them and spending/leveling up when you can.
-Playing with friends is fun but the system needs some QoL improvements to smooth out the experience. You can tell it was an after thought.

Awesome game. Probably my favorite of 2020 so far.
