Styx Shards of Darkness improves on just about everything from Master of Shadows. Only thing that would still be a problrem is the combat but if you are interested in Styx in any way this isn't a problem. Just like a lot of reviews say this is definitely a "stealth purists" type of game. Some moments you get into are pretty heart pumping, reminiscent of Thief. The plot is straightforward and somewhat simple, some revelations were pretty interesting. The visuals are much more eye popping, more color.

Some slight "eh"s lie in the later portions as you go back to some levels but they replace enemies and it still makes them interesting. There some challenges here and there that can increase your hours, I'll be going back to them after trying to master some levels. Also the dialouge from Styx can be hit or miss. You can turn off his game over screens though.

Overall it's a great improvement from MoS and I recommend this if you just like a good stealth game.
