Early Access Review
Very enjoyable game. A lot of the elements that make this Open World Survival Craft game are broken down into bite sized pieces rather than just a daunting world of emptiness. The quest markers help everything feel paced and prevented me from just aimlessly wandering and eventually becoming bored. It actually feels like progress with everything I've learned and discovered within the game and getting to the late stages isn't that unbearable with some quests leftover that are aimed for that period of gameplay. I can't wait to see what they're putting out with the next big update(s) and eventually come back for another full playthrough once the vision has been realized.

I have the perspective of a lot of similar reviews for this game. Rather than being the OG Age of Castles which actually had some difficulty, this is just Ant War re-skinned. It has not even half the substance of the original game which had less upgrades and did rely on you making the correct decisions. In this one, you just save your gold to buy the next 10 upgrades at once. They're not even necessary though, since everything is SO boiled down in this game. Anarchy, if you are looking through these reviews, please post the OG Age of Castles. I know I downloaded it from another site and since Flash is dead... Well, let's say you'd make a killing on Steam by giving us the OG. This game just doesn't have what it originally had, and it just becomes sad.

I am definitely not a sniper by any means. In fact, accuracy is what I always need a boost in. This game was just that boost though, as it made aiming fun and interesting as the gameplay went further. Obviously trying to get it super stealthed was the main goal, but after learning the ropes in the open areas I eventually got more comfortable without holding my breath and getting an assist. Hopefully it can all lead to better sniping in more games like this.

This is one of the like five games where I played it and had to sit back after finishing to go "Damn, that all just happened." I would say my only gripe of a short 4 hours of gameplay can easily be squashed by the lore that went into this game and the feel of everything you have to try and do. The game itself isn't too difficult with only one of my passengers dying. The survival need feels real at every moment. When I finished all the stops and walked home they pulled even more surprises. The cowboy hat guy was real, my daughter was hiding the whole time, and I ended up becoming one of them after all I had done. Just about everything about this was fun. If anything, I would like to see a sort of endless mode just to keep things going after the campaign.

Whether it's starting off the level being damaged, enemies coming out of thin air and dealing massive damage in a second, or crashing animations and the game itself the game is just unplayable. I haven't even mentioned the low res and absence of options so you have to hit enter to use anything. This could have been a pretty enjoyable game, but can't be since it just doesn't run.
