Termina and the original Fear and Hunger are the BEST games I've played this year without a doubt. If the content warnings don't bother you (don't be a ♥♥♥♥♥ like some of this stuff is insanely tame, its a 2D depiction of violence and gore it cannot be that deep), I highly recommend playing both of these games.

Termina is a lot more forgiving, you are kind of punished to explore since you are taking the risk of getting hungry, finding harder enemies and overall just losing stuff out of your inventory but Termina has a lot more food and the enemies are more JRPG enemies vs in the first game a lot of the simple enemies were puzzles of their own and serious threats ie prison guards.

The combat mission series has always had a high skill-ceiling and plenty of tactical decision-making depth and flexibility. Intelligence and reconnaissance has always been a most important concept in the series but it looks different here in some scenarios. I find myself performing more "recon in force" rather than moving a scout team into an OP and spotting. The NTC campaign is probably some of the most challenging fights you'll ever have against the AI. Overall a great game but combat mission has always been cursed with looking like its from 2007. Maybe if I pray hard enough the devs will finally update the engines visuals.

Market Garden is a fun scenario if you somehow manage to beat it with the 1st British Airborne still alive at the end add me and tell me how

Very first hex based wargame I've ever played. The AI is challenging, the levels are challenging due to the timed objectives. The style is probably what got me into this game the most, very refreshing compared to 2D NATO sprite on top of 2D NATO sprite in some other wargames.
