If you are interested in the game buy it as soon as possible before Team17 completely ruins the game. I love this game it is the most immersive squad based tactical shooter available. However, the studio that actually made the game, Blackmatter, poured hours of time and care into the game sold the game to their publisher Team17. Since then T17 have been slowly unraveling the treasure of a game blackmatter worked tirelessly on into a buggy half baked and mess. If you haven't already seen the trailer that was recently released I would recommend struggling through the 2 minutes and 10 seconds of hot garbage that was broadcast live to thousands of people and you should have an idea of the capability of T17 has to turn HLL into a game that no one will play. And if you really want to see the difference between the state of the game between BM and T17 I would go back and watch the trailers released when BM was still developing the game. Its sad to see but it seems the game is going down a path that will drive more players away and lead to the games demise.

Plays the song "Run Through the Jungle" by Creedence Clearwater Revival on repeat on the main menu, but the guitar is not quite synced up with the rest of the song. Really makes you wanna get into the actual game even faster

Fun game with engaging first person shooter mechanics. Theres alot of small things that make this better than most fps games that are out right now. You don't have to run a mile and a half to get military simulator intense combat. The AI is often challenging enough (depending on the server) that if you only want to play alongside other players or solo you can and still have a fun experience. However, the dev team said that they would be moving away from releasing large updates packed full of content for a new trickle formula where they would add content whenever its ready with few less time between updates. THE LAST UPDATE WITH CONTENT WAS 5 AND A HALF MONTHS AGO. September 10th was the last time the devs put content out. Almost half a year. They gained new players during their free weekend with servers being populated weeks after the free weekend and now they are back down to 1.8k players in the past 30 days because they haven't added content. Why don't they just release modding support like they said they were working on almost a year ago if they weren't willing to put out content.

This is an extremely fun game to just hop into. However my attention span might be to blame, but I find myself playing Mordhau for only a game or two before I feel like moving on. When I first got the game I just wanted to learn to how to "get good" so i spent much longer in the game before it wore itself out for me. There needs to be more content added the miserably slow trickle of random and fairly useless new map features etc. (there has not been a weapon added since they released crossroads months ago) and its something in my opinion that is to blame for the drop in the amount of players. Another feature that the developers appeared to work hard on was the ranked duel system however there simply aren't enough people in the servers joining up making you spend much much much more time simply waiting in the menu hoping to get into a ranked match than you actually spend dueling. The community is uhhh colorful and interesting and with the new profanity filter you can just see the wacky side and not the crude side. Overall this is just a very fun game that I keep coming back to almost daily to play usually a round or two, but with a dwindling community the small development team needs to be a little more dedicated to actual content like new weapons and armors or at least weapon skins and not random features like a basket of rocks and hot oil for the invasion game mode.
