Single player works fine. Multiplayer is borderline unplayable. Horrible connectivity issues, constant desync. Game is far slower than in person due to all the stop points where everyone needs to agree and/or your powers being blocked by other player's powers. Also, game stops entirely while other players choose power cards to gain/forget.

tldr, if you play single player its great

if you play multiplayer you'll have a miserable time

Originally played on epic games store, bought it again once it came to steam. Honestly one of the best games i've ever played. Flying the ship takes some getting used to, but the way the story is presented is very similar to subnautica. You slowly piece together the story as you explore. Soundtrack by Andrew Prahlow is absolutely incredible, i bought the vinyl when it came out it was that good. 10/10 game of the year.

Huge lover of XCOM 1 here, if you're looking for a continuation of that game, don't buy this. The base game itself isn't too bad, pretty enjoyable actually, but the DLC makes this game literally unplayable. Enemies that can attack twice and move, some enemies that move after every action you take, along with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ advent project meter that screws you at every turn. Overall, please just play the base game, otherwise you will absolutely hate this game.

Quite the impressive scam, shows how you can never really trust early access, especially with scummy developers

Now, I wrote a review on this game some time back, but much time has passed since that review. Most points are the same as in my old review, hackers are dealt with most times, VAC seems to be doing the job quite well as a matter of fact. I've played this game since it first came out back in legacy, and i've seen the ups and downs of it. Facepunch as a dev squad are amazing, they mostly listen to community suggestions and build their game around what we'd like to see. Gunplay is fairly decent, the only bad thing about it would be most guns have a god-awful aimcone, but still very engaging and enjoyable. If you're looking for a good time killing game, or to have some fun with friends i would 100% reccomend this game!

I really liked this game due to the open world/exploration aspect, and the ability to chose what to do and who to become friends with. Overall this was one of the best games i have played in a long time!

This game is pretty awesome! I mean whats better then burning random things from magazines? And the best part about this game is at the start you burn the terms and conditions!
