This game can be recommended to hardcore FF fans even if you hate action RPGs only for 1 reason, you played it. I have yet to see the full story but the way it is being portrayed, these shortcomings will continue.

1. Cutscence doesn't allow fast forward or skip dialogue (only full skip)
2. I guess I am spoiled with high-quality videos of older FFs and dialogue added after the video to be better than this ♥♥♥♥ of rendering real time. 29 fps and people move like Skyrim. Hairs don't move, skin is tough as cheese and more
3. Cinematic positioning is so lazy with no closeups, etc you expect from a full FF. Letterbox, more emotion in the expression, etc.
4. Every area so far feels so dull. There is no life, as if the coders really didn't have any passion. FF12 is a good example to learn from in terms of life and energy.
5. City area is so badly optimised as FPS takes a dive even with DLSS. Latest drivers and reinstalling finally got it working better.
6. There is a mod for it already stating how it is not a great release.

Quick puzzle game for $5 bucks. Worth, play in 4K for extra impact.

What can I saw, free and addictive enough to stick around.

Just to know what happens in the trilogy, it makes sense to check this out.

With that said, it felt hollow and the "wierd" story (subjective), did not resonate with me and were disjointed. - Almost played all FF games.

This is a great game in the Final Fantasy series. For review of the game itself, there are many reviews and opinions out there.

One of the few FF games that can be completed to 98% without a walkthrough if you are dedicated.

PC port didn't break the performance on this game on a laptop with a 3 years old GPU.
